Harry Kane’s future with Tottenham is uncertain this summer.
Rumors of Kane transferring to Bayern Munich are mounting, with the move appearing increasingly likely to take place.
Should Kane exit the club, Tottenham must prepare with a contingency plan for a replacement.
It appears that instead of investing heavily in a fresh player, Spurs might use a solution from within their own ranks.
Tom Barclay, speaking on The Tottenham Way Podcast, discussed Tottenham’s strategy for filling Kane’s shoes, suggesting that the club could deploy Richarlison in the number nine spot if Kane were to depart.

Richarlison to succeed Kane
Barclay gave his perspective regarding Richarlison and Kane.
“Speaking of a successor, I believe that the main strategy will be to promote Richarlison. Son can likewise serve as an attacker, and there may also be a promising young forward brought in. However, I don’t foresee them investing £80m for a replacement. They are of the belief that they have this in Richarlison already,” Barclay stated.

Possibly Risky
Even though Richarlison has demonstrated Talent at Everton and Watford, stepping in to replace a player who is arguably the best striker in Premier League history is a move filled with uncertainty.
Despite his skill and promising future, he only marked one Premier League goal last season.
To anticipate that his performance will substantially increase within a single season is quite a long shot, and it’s a gamble that could potentially go south for Spurs.
