Ange Postecoglou Hints At Possible Tottenham Exit For 27-Year-Old

Ange Postecoglou, the Australian manager, has indicated that Davinson Sanchez might be leaving Tottenham Hotspur during the summer transfer period.

The coach has once again addressed the media ahead of their preseason game against Lion City Sailors next day.

Tottenham’s last friendly match with Leicester City on their preseason schedule was called off due to inclement weather in Thailand, but the team has since moved on to Singapore under Postecoglou’s direction.

It’s expected that Postecoglou will massively reshuffle the team this summer, and rumors are plentiful linking Sanchez with a move away from the club based in North London.

In fact, Spartak Moscow has reached a tentative agreement with Tottenham Hotspur for a £12.9 million transfer fee for the 27-year-old defender, leaving the final decision to Sanchez.

Postecoglou acknowledged that the exit of the Colombian defender could indeed become reality.

The Athletic’s Charlie Eccleshare disseminated Postecoglou’s statements regarding Sanchez’s future at today’s press event.

The ex-Celtic chief confirmed that Sanchez is assessing his prospects this summer.

If Sanchez were to depart this summer, it wouldn’t be a surprise, as his playing style doesn’t appear to match Postecoglou’s.

In his tenure at Spurs, the centre-back has fallen short of expectations, despite his promising arrival from Ajax.

As part of the summer reshuffling, Spurs are likely to overhaul their defence, prompting a few players to leave.

Whether Sanchez is open to a move to Russia is yet to be known; however, Spurs seem eager to part ways with him.
