Tottenham Hotspur is in the midst of their pre-season tour in the Asia-Pacific region, where Ange Postecoglou is training his team members.
Up to this point, Spurs have contested one pre-season fixture, a 3-2 defeat at the hands of West Ham at the Optus Stadium in Perth a week prior.
Spurs were scheduled to play against Leicester in Bangkok over the weekend, but due to unforeseen weather disturbances, the match was cancelled.
Next on the agenda for Spurs is a game against Singapore’s Lion City Sailors at the National Stadium on Wednesday.
On the lead up to the match, footage of James Maddison’s set-piece skills was showcased on Tottenham’s social media platform.
The new addition to Spurs managed to loft a shot over a formation of three training dummies, and the ball found its way into the goal by deflecting off the post.
Spurs defender, Sergio Reguilon, decided to humorously provoke his new associate with a jocular response in the comments.
“Alright, now I’m looking forward to seeing this in an actual match,” the 26-year-old posted on Instagram.
In a quick-witted response, Maddison said: “You better start watching Match of the Day, Buddy.”
