As per the Evening Standard, two offers from Bayern for Kane have been turned down by Spurs, with the second proposal amounting to £70 million along with add-ons.

Though the competitiveness of the Bundesliga might raise doubts to some, Nicol opines that Kane should grab the chance to become part of Thomas Tuchel’s squad.

“In my view, Bayern Munich would be perfect,” he stated on ESPN. “The team is in desperate need of a centre forward, and he fits the position perfectly. The old approach of not selling to a competitor is completely dismissed here.

“In my opinion, it can’t get more ideal than this. Another option might’ve been Real Madrid, but I don’t see that happening. I believe Bayern Munich perfectly matches his profile.”

In the end, Kane’s own aspirations will prove crucial in deciding his career path. For Tottenham, it would be desirable if he unveils his plans rather than continuing to fuel rumours until the transfer deadline. As Nicol implies, if Spurs sold him to Bayern, it would eliminate the chance of him switching to another Premier League club next season.

Nevertheless, securing Kane won’t be a walk in the park for Bayern. Spurs would likely want a considerably higher bid to part with him.
