Club ready to surpass Bayern Munich’s offer for Harry Kane in the upcoming summer

Reports suggest that Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) is prepared to offer a more significant bid than Bayern Munich to secure Harry Kane in the upcoming summer, provided the Tottenham Hotspur player is willing to relocate to France.

The Times have reported that PSG’s interest in Kane is not related to the future of Kylian Mbappe.

At the onset of the summer transfer window, Kane’s name has been prominently associated with Bayern Munich.

The 29-year-old star player’s current contract is expiring next year, with The Guardian noting earlier this month that Tottenham plans to propose a generous new contract.

Despite these developments, Kane reportedly has no plans to sign a new contract during the open window, indicating PSG might have an opportunity to sign him.

PSG determined to surpass Bayern’s bid for Kane

According to The Times, PSG will pursue Kane if they receive confirmation regarding his willingness to transition to Ligue 1.

The French club’s interest in Kane is not related to Mbappe’s future, with Kane being viewed as either a potential replacement or teammate for the French player.

The report also notes that PSG, due to substantial new investment, is confident they can outmatch Bayern’s offer for the English player.

Speculations surrounding Kane’s future have been a significant talking point in the early summer, causing potential distraction for Ange Postecoglou.

Postecoglou, a novice manager at Spurs, would surely prefer to have certainty around Kane’s situation as soon as possible.

It’s evident that Bayern’s attempt to acquire the England skipper has been unsuccessful so far, with Tottenham expecting a significantly higher transfer fee than £68 million.

Uncertainty persists over whether Kane is inclined towards a move to Paris, despite reports from Germany suggesting his eagerness to transfer to Bayern.
