Potential £130m Striker Opportunity for Tottenham Persists

Tottenham Hotspur reportedly maintains interest in Napoli forward Victor Osimhen, as cited from Italian sources.

Following his exceptional season with Napoli, which led them to secure the Serie A title, Osimhen has attracted the attention of numerous European clubs, including English teams Chelsea and Manchester United.

Nonetheless, TuttoNapoli states that Tottenham could still enter the competition for Osimhen’s signature.

It is suggested that Chelsea may challenge Napoli regarding Osimhen.

Any offer would certainly have to be substantial. Napoli is rumored to be willing to sell Osimhen for around £130m.

Currently, only the wealthiest clubs can afford such a transaction. Tottenham is unlikely to submit such a bid at this moment.

However, if Harry Kane were to depart, the situation may change. TuttoNapoli’s report implies this possibility.

Potential Kane Replacement

Victor Osimhen may not have achieved Harry Kane’s level just yet, but he is among the few strikers capable of taking on the role. Osimhen’s impressive performance in Italy has led to recognition as a ‘phenomenal’ Nigerian player whose goal count last season speaks for itself.

Although £130m is a significant sum, if Tottenham loses Kane for around £100m, they will need to reinvest, possibly putting forward the necessary funds to secure Osimhen as a replacement for the England captain.

Eventually, Osimhen is expected to transfer from Napoli to one of the leading European clubs. As such, Tottenham is wise to remain part of the conversation.
