As per The Evening Standard, it appears that Tottenham is finalising their talks with Van de Ven.
The Spurs are seemingly on the brink of granting Ange Postecoglou his much-anticipated new centre-back following a lengthy exploration.
While the discussions between Tottenham and Wolfsburg have been going on for quite some time, Fabrizio Romano reports that the Dutch player has given a nod to the conditions of his expected move to North London.

The club seemed uncertain whether to choose Van de Ven or Tapsoba. However, recent news suggests the former is now more likely to be the chosen one.
Van de Ven’s Signing with Spurs Becomes More Feasible
The Evening Standard states that Spurs are putting final touches on their negotiations to sign Van de Ven from Wolfsburg.
On a parallel note, their talks with Bayer Leverkusen for Tapsoba continue.
While there’s a possibility that Spurs might sign either one of the Bundesliga pair, Van de Ven appears to be the more likely pick.

Most Spurs fans would have ideally liked the club to secure both Van de Ven and Tapsoba.
However, currently, it seems they can only choose one.
Even so, Van de Ven’s addition will significantly boost Tottenham’s team, especially their left-wing defence.
The 22-year-old start player from Wolfsburg had an impressive run in the Bundesliga last season. He’s often praised as an ‘exceptional’ talent for his noteworthy speed and ball control skills.
