Tottenham Progressing Towards Nailing Down Deal for 22-Year-Old After ‘Fruitful’ Talks

Tottenham is currently in negotiation stages to acquire Micky Van de Ven, a Dutch defender from Wolfsburg.

As per journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham is making headway in clinching this deal.

Newly appointed manager, Ange Postecoglou, has already welcomed James Maddison and Guglielmo Vicario to the team this summer.

Also, Tottenham is nearing an agreement for Manor Solomon after his effective tenure with Fulham.

The main priority for Tottenham amidst the current transfer flurry is bolstering their defense.

Last season, Tottenham’s defense was pierced often, so the club views the signing of Van de Ven as a solution.

The 22-year-old Dutch defender is recognized as one of the emerging defensive stars in Europe.

Sharing updates on Twitter, Romano disclosed: “Tottenham is making strides in negotiations with Wolfsburg for Micky van de Ven — it is rumored that the clubs are on the cusp of reaching an agreement.

“The talks have begun, and the discussion on Monday left much promise, with a few key details yet to be ironed out. Additional updates soon.”
