Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur are both reportedly interested in securing the signature of Croatian international defender, Josip Sutalo, during this summer transfer window.
Arsenal has already clinched the signing of Jurrien Timber to bolster their defence, while Spurs are advancing in other negotiations.
A pivot in recent news seems to suggest that Arsenal’s interest in Sutalo is more locked-in compared to Tottenham’s.

In the past month, Alasdair Gold from football.london acknowledged the rumours indicating Spurs’ interest in the 23-year-old defender.
Concurrently, rumours are that Arsenal have strategically positioned themselves to table a potential offer for Sutalo.
Tuttomercatoweb reveals that Arsenal has surpassed the €20million (£17.2million) mark, a number Dinamo Zagreb might entertain for a discussion.
However, it seems that Arsenal has not yet placed a formal bid for the Croatian international.
As the current bids appear to be inadequate according to further reports, no official deal has been made yet.
‘Resembles Josko Gvardiol’s Style’
This could imply that Arsenal is merely paving the way for a more serious bid to be made in the near future.
The supposed offer from Arsenal, however, seems sufficient to pique Dinamo’s interest.
At this time, Tottenham has been linked to various defenders including Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba among others.
Nonetheless, Sutalo stands out as a valid option. The young star showcases immense potential while being a senior international and favorably affordable.
Football.london has compared his playing style to that of ‘Josko Gvardiol’s.’
On another note, Football Talent Scout labelled Sutalo as ‘one of the most overlooked CBs in Europe’.

Given the current trends, it won’t be a surprise if Arsenal manages to secure Sutalo’s signature before Tottenham can.
The coming weeks will give a clearer picture. If Tottenham manages to sign a number of other defenders, they may not need Sutalo anymore.
Another point of consideration is the outgoing transfers. Both Arsenal and Tottenham would benefit from offloading a few players in order to make room for new signings.
