Jack Rosser, a journalist, has hinted that Crystal Palace is eyeing the acquisition of winger Arnaut Danjuma this summer.

Rosser, a football correspondent for The Sun, has highlighted Crystal Palace’s potential interest in the player, who spent the previous season on loan at Tottenham.

Rosser’s tweet remarked: “Arnaut Danjuma, a winger from Villarreal, is being eyed by Crystal Palace. Despite Tottenham not expressing interest to purchase, hopes are high he’ll return to the Premier League. Villarreal is seeking around £25million, but would consider another loan.”

Danjuma has had stints at Spurs and Bournemouth, competing in both the Premier League and the Championship.

Arnaut Danjuma eyed by Crystal Palace

It comes as no surprise that Crystal Palace is in the market for a left-winger, especially considering that Wilfried Zaha’s contract has now run out.

As the player remains uncertain about his future, it becomes critical for the Eagles to secure a competent replacement. Danjuma fits the bill perfectly.

The remarkable Dutch international didn’t particularly shine at Spurs, but the club faced a host of issues last season.

The 26-year-old proved his worth during his time at Villarreal and Bournemouth, recording 39 goals and 12 assists in 103 appearances across both clubs.

Danjuma needs a consistent role in a team like Palace to showcase his talent. He possesses the quality to thrive in the division, and the Eagles could do with some increased depth in their offensive lineup.

Currently, they have just two natural forwards, and Zaha’s potential exit. If they aim to climb higher in the league, they need additions like Danjuma.

A ‘Golden Player’

In 2021, Rafael van der Vaart expressed to VoetbalZone that Danjuma’s playing style reminded him of Netherlands’ legend, Arjen Robben.

He enthused, “We have a talented player at our disposal. Like Robben, he has the ability to make things happen.

When you pass him the ball, things start to happen. Danjuma possesses that quality. He keeps you on the edge of your seat.”
