Hosting their first home game of this summer, Tottenham Hotspur welcomed coach Ange Postecoglou for the very first time.

Fans could be heard calling out Harry Kane’s name, in an attitude of suspense due to the uncertainty surrounding his future with the team.

Presently, it seems increasingly probable that Kane will remain part of the Spurs this summer, especially after another unsuccessful bid from Bayern Munich.

Keeping a player like Kane can significantly boost their potential for this season, also benefiting his fellow teammates in the process.

Dejan Kulusevski, on the other hand, is particularly interested in Kane’s decision.

If Kane were to depart, the team would indeed have counted on Kulusevski to deliver more goals in the upcoming season.

The Swedish international is assured of his scoring potential regardless, but the possibility of Kane remaining alleviates some pressure.

Kulusevski Foresees a Rising Scoring Trend for Tottenham

Kulusevski, when asked about his position under Postecoglou, said: “I understand his expectations of me perfectly.

“He wants me to surge forward more when the ball is on the side, and keep moving forward, even if I lose possession of it.

“I always have an objective, but the right way to achieve it is to just play my part in the game and everything else will follow naturally.

“Today I managed to get two assists: I feel a tremendous amount of satisfaction and happiness, because usually, my goals start pouring in after I make those initial assists,” he adds.

The young winger, who was acquired for £26m, proved to be a creative powerhouse after his transition from Juventus to Tottenham about a year and a half ago.

Starting off strong with five goals and eight assists in 18 matches, Kulusevski gave the fans hope about his potential impact on the team.

However, a mix of injuries and form slumps contributed to him struggling to maintain that pace last year.

It must be noted, though, that many of Spurs’ players had an underwhelming season last year and are keenly looking to make a comeback under coach Postecoglou.

Given his attacking gameplay, the 23-year-old is expected to thrive this season.
