According to Fabrizio Romano, Manor Solomon is in London today to have a medical examination before solidifying his position as Tottenham Hotspur’s newest acquisition in the current transfer window.
Romano shared via Twitter his belief that the Israeli international will join the Spurs roster as an unrestricted free agent.

A contractual snag involving Manor Solomon, who is now a free agent, might turn out to be a clever move for Tottenham. As suggested by The Athletic, Solomon is eligible to depart from Shakhtar Donetsk at the culmination of summer following his initial contract’s December expiry date.

FIFA granted permission to players associated with Ukrainian and Russian clubs to extend their contracts by one year. Consequently, Solomon could strike a deal with Tottenham.

The Athletic claimed that a 5-year contract will be signed by Solomon. Romano has also affirmed on Twitter that Solomon is in the country’s capital to complete his physical, paving the way for his transfer to Spurs.

Even though Solomon might not be the standout name Spurs fans were hoping for, his signing can turn out to be a strategic move by Ange Postecoglou’s team.
Despite his talents, which could warrant a massive transfer fee, Solomon is set to make the move for free. Impressively, during his season with Fulham, he scored four goals, hinting at his potential in the Premier League.
Solomon was on a scoring streak with Shakhtar, averaging more than a goal in every five games. Plus, his versatility, with the capability to take up various positions, including both wings, adds to his value.
Without a doubt, when the deal for Solomon is finalized, many opponent clubs may be regretful for not snapping him up.
