Inter Milan are gearing up to place their bid for Tottenham Hotspur’s goalie, Hugo Lloris, aligned with their plan to transfer Andre Onana to Manchester United for a decisive £40 million.
As reported by the Sunday Mirror (9/7; page 72), they acknowledge that the Spurs head is the intended replacement for the departing Onana.

The departure of Hugo Lloris from the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium at this moment wouldn’t come as a shock as the Frenchman’s performance has seen a downward slope.
Inter set to advance for Hugo Lloris
Tottenham commenced the transfer season with the acquisition of Guglielmo Vicario. This could spell a challenging period ahead for Lloris if he chooses to stay in North London.

The Sunday Mirror (9/7; page 72) relays that Andre Onana is on the brink of a nearly £40 million transfer to Manchester United, stepping in as a successor to David De Gea.
This notwithstanding, Inter Milan is preparing their bid for Lloris. The Serie A team originally intended Vicario as the substitute for Onana.
This appears to be a satisfactory decision for all factions involved. Regrettably, the declining performance of Lloris has become a concern for Tottenham, hindering their elevation in the Premier League.
Despite this, having played in the previous season’s World Cup final, Lloris still believes he has much more to contribute and is unlikely to settle for warming the bench.
Lloris, who has been a significant contributor to Tottenham, may not yet be prepared to surrender being a primary player at a premier level.
