National co-players of Tottenham’s often underestimated player firmly believed he would ink a deal with Manchester United.

Numerous international partners of Tottenham Hotspur player Harry Kane were reportedly certain that he would sign a contract with Manchester United this summer.

The star player of Spurs has entered the final stretch of his current contract. If he doesn’t secure a transfer elsewhere this month, he can sign a pre-contract with an overseas club in January, which would lead to a free transfer next year.

This is the reason several people – including folks from England’s team – were of the opinion that Kane would migrate this summer, as reported by Miguel Delaney in his column for The Independent.

England teammates of Tottenham’s Harry Kane believed he would migrate to Manchester United

If Tottenham declared Harry Kane accessible at the start of this summer’s transfer period, many prestigious clubs across Europe would compete for his services – including Manchester United.

Major responsibility of delivering top-notch performance last season was placed on Marcus Rashford as they lacked a steady striker.

Despite the odds, Erik ten Hag’s team secured the third position. There is a sentiment around Old Trafford that with a forward ensuring 25 goals a season, they could achieve something truly remarkable.

Kane fits that description, and many in the England team who mingled with the striker right after last season ended, were convinced that he would shift from Tottenham to Manchester United in this transfer window.

However, Tottenham’s Daniel Levy remained resolute in his decision not to let go of his key player, particularly to a competing English club, which led Manchester United to consider other options.

Should Levy change his mind about selling him to a Premier League team, there’s a conjecture that ‘United would have a different fund provision’ to finalize this deal.

TBR Opinion:

Manchester United would likely still be interested in contracting Kane this summer, but it appears that opportunity has passed.

The odds of the perceived ‘underrated’ English player leaving this month are still high. Bayern Munich is trying hard to secure his services, and their strenuous efforts may ultimately bring them success.

If Kane stays, Manchester United would probably keep tabs on him to possibly sign him as a free transfer at the subsequent season’s end.

The coming weeks are crucial for Tottenham fans, although they must be accustomed to such suspense by now.
