As the Australian Manager revamps the Spurs, the club is undergoing a thrilling transformation. Though the early indications look promising, a lot is yet to be achieved.

Joe Rodon and Davinson Sanchez have been informed that they can exit Tottenham

The top priority for Tottenham in the transfer window was to integrate at least a couple of new senior center-backs.

The Spurs had a dismal run in the past season, with their defense conceding 63 goals in 38 matches – an outcome worse than majority of other Division clubs.

It is clear that on top of hiring new defensive talent, the team also needs to assess and optimize the existing sideline members of the squad.

The future of two such players, Davinson Sanchez and Joe Rodon, at Tottenham has been determined by Ange Postecoglou.

According to the report, both the center backs have been instructed to seek other clubs in the upcoming weeks. This decision is final as they no longer fit into the plans and are very likely to leave the Spurs within this month.

About ten days ago, a disclosure by Football London stated that Rodon ‘has not even had a chance’ at Tottenham since Postecoglou’s arrival – he has been side-lined.

Our Views:

It is unfortunate that neither Sanchez nor Rodon could deliver as expected at Tottenham.

Sanchez had been purchased from Ajax with a historical high bid for the team, with high hopes for him to flourish in the Premier League. Similarly, Rodon, a promising young talent from Swansea, was not able to actualize his potential.

Rob Page, manager of Wales, admires Rodon immensely, despite his underperformance at Tottenham. He considers him a ‘top-class’ player and ‘massive’ for his country (Independent.) However, his club-level potential has not blossomed.

It appears that Rodon is preparing to exit the club, and it will be engaging to learn his new destination, if he entails to shift before this transfer window closes.
