Player Valued at £35m With Top-Notch Ability Will Not Transfer to Tottenham This Season

Recent discourse indicates that Kaoru Mitoma, an esteemed Premier League winger, will not be transfer to Tottenham Hotspur during this summer’s transfer window.

Reported by The Athletic, Tottenham is keen on the Brighton winger, joined by many others who share the same sentiment. Other reports highlight that Ange Postecoglou has a high regard for Mitoma.

The news continues, indicating that Mitoma will be staying put this summer. Roberto De Zerbi, the team’s manager, thinks that the gifted player still has avenues for growth.

Mitoma’s worth is estimated to be around £35 million. Yet, despite the high estimation, Brighton intends to retain him throughout the summer transfer period.

Mitoma Isn’t Transferring to Tottenham This Season

Mitoma’s superior skills aren’t questioned, and he has been commended by many within the football community. Paul Barber, Brighton’s CEO, touted him as a player with “world-class potential“.

In the previous Premier League season, Mitoma impressed as he scored seven goals and provided six assists in his 33 games.

He is especially popular among his current club’s fans, starting his Premier League journey later than most of his peers.

Currently at the age of 26, Mitoma only made the move to the Premier League from the Belgian division the previous summer, now emerging at his peak.

Desiring Mitoma doesn’t come as a surprise for Spurs, but him not transferring this summer won’t profoundly affect them.

They have already successfully inked deals with James Maddison and Dejan Kulusevski.

In addition to their existing forward line that includes renown talents such as Richarlison, Harry Kane and Son Heung-min, they are probably planning to invest that money into other areas this summer.

Mitoma would have made a great addition, but the team can certainly strengthen their squad in other areas while still having a potent attack.
