In today’s game, Manor Solomon’s performance for Tottenham Hotspur was extremely commendable, according to Clive Allen. Solomon, traditionally a winger, was applauded for his skills on a different side against Lion City Sailors.
During Spurs Play, Allen expressed approval of Solomon’s shift to playing on the right side, after starting on the left against West Ham in last week’s match.
This Wednesday afternoon in Singapore, Tottenham engaged in their second pre-season friendly with Lion City Sailors.
Spurs maintained control in the early stages of the game, but unexpectedly fell behind when the Singapore Premier League team seized an unexpected opportunity.
Tottenham balanced the score just prior to half-time with a penalty goal by Harry Kane, following an infringement on Pape Matar Sarr. However, in the second half, Ange Postecoglou made sweeping changes with Solomon replacing Dejan Kulusevski on the right.

Allen’s Compliments to Solomon
Last week, Solomon demonstrated admirable skill against West Ham in Heung-Min Son’s place.
Though he was on a different side today, he managed to captivate everyone with his mesmerizing play during the second half. Allen lauded the 24-year old’s performance on Spurs Play.
“I must admit, he looked as adept playing on the right as we know he is on the left,” remarked Allen.
Solomon was heavily involved post his introduction and seemed equally at home playing on the left.
Richarlison led the spectacle with a triumphant hat-trick in the second half after coming in for Harry Kane, assisting Tottenham in securing a 5-1 victory against Lion City Sailors.
Despite the pre-season only just beginning, Solomon has already exhibited the valuable asset he could potentially be for Postecoglou’s team.

Solomon, who joined the team as a free transfer this summer following a strong performance for Fulham in the previous season, seems to fit quite well into Postecoglou’s game plan. Furthermore, his adaptability in shifting between sides may certainly enhance his chances of obtaining opportunities.
Predictably, he will be up against serious competition for a spot in the team given that Son and Kulusevski are established first-team players. Despite this, the early indicators suggest Solomon could be a wise acquisition for Spurs.
