Tottenham’s Transfer News: Fabrizio Romano Asserts “It’s Finished”

Tottenham Hotspur has confirmed Hugo Lloris will not be joining the team for their visit to Australia.

Spurs are on the brink of embarking on their Asia-Pacific pre-season tour.

The list of players who will be part of the squad was announced on the team’s official website.

Lloris is not included in this list. The Spurs article mentions that he can pursue other opportunities while the team is away.

“Hugo Lloris has been allowed to stay behind to pursue future transfer possibilities,” the team communicated.

Lloris’ departure was broadcasted on Twitter by Fabrizio Romano, stating that “it’s over” between Lloris and Spurs.

Our Perspective

Certainly, it marks the conclusion of a significant phase.

Lloris has made an exceptional contribution to Spurs since joining the N17 team over a decade ago.

The French player exhibited consistent performance at Tottenham, amounting to an impressive record of 447 appearances.

Additionally, Lloris has represented France 145 times and led them to win the 2018 World Cup.

Nonetheless, Lloris’ future with Spurs has been a topic of doubt as his contract is due to end the following season.

Currently, the club has officially announced that Lloris is allowed to pursue potential transfer options.

Even though many had already anticipated his departure, it’s still a shock to receive confirmation.

We wish Lloris all the best as he embarks on a different phase in his career.

Hopefully, Spurs will smoothly transition to their new primary goalkeeper as they enter the Postecoglou period.

Earlier in the transfer window, Tottenham brought in Guglielmo Vicario from Empoli as a potential replacement.
