Uncertainty Surrounds £55m Tottenham Player’s Summer Exit

Tottenham Hotspur’s team remains significantly overloaded.

Several surplus players at the renowned club in North London need to be moved, with others only playing minor roles having uncertain futures.

Joe Rodon and Japhet Tanganga are likely to depart, but it is uncertain what lies ahead for others such as Tanguy Ndombele and Djed Spence.

Giovani Lo Celso is another player whose future could go either way.

Last week, reports suggested Lo Celso would remain at Tottenham thanks to Postecoglou’s efforts. However, as Tom Barclay mentioned on The Tottenham Way Podcast, there is no guarantee that Lo Celso will remain with Spurs.

The Future of Lo Celso Is Uncertain

Barclay has shared an insight about the situation of the player valued at £55m.

“Sure, he occupies one the more upfront number eight roles, but there’s no guarantee of him staying. Ange is open to everyone, but it may come to a conclusion that it isn’t the best fit for some players, and he could potentially be one of them. Still, from the looks of it, it wouldn’t be a shock if he stays and contributes to the team in the coming season,” Barclay speculated.

Making An Impact

Lo Celso might yet depart this summer, but the current perspective suggests he could stay.

All indications are that he’s been performing well in the pre-season matches and has made a notable impression in the friendlies to date.

There’s still substantial time left in the transfer window period, but a major twist would be required for Lo Celso to be released from Tottenham before the end of August.

Don’t be surprised if Lo Celso experiences a resurgence with Spurs in the upcoming season.
