What better way for Solomon to commemorate his birthday than by showcasing his fantastic skill and scoring a goal in training.

The Israel international has made a head-turning start to his tenure with Spurs and played impressively against West Ham.

As exciting as his gameplay was during the 3-2 loss in the friendly, Solomon also made a convincing case for a penalty that could have benefited his team.

Spurs supporters unsurprisingly desired to see more of their latest asset in the friendly against Leicester yesterday. However, due to intense rainfall around the scheduled kick-off time, the game was axed.

Spurs next preseason friendly is coming up against the Lion City Sailors on Wednesday.

The Sailors are a Singapore Premier League team.

Solomon, who was lined up to be a part of the bench against Leicester in the cancelled match, is wishing that his compelling performance in training will earn him a place in the starting line-up.

Solomon Scores an Exquisite Goal During Tottenham Training

Son Heung-min will be Solomon’s main competition for a starting position this season.

With such a formidable opponent, it’s more than likely that Solomon will initially have a role akin to his previous one at Fulham.

Frequently assigned a substitute role due to Willian’s great form on the left wing, the 24-year-old Solomon will soon be a genuine contender for the Korean international.

Notably, Son fell short of his high expectations during his last season with Spurs.

Antonio Conte, who had no fixed line-up, left Son on the sidelines on multiple occasions.

With Postecoglou following a different approach than Conte, there may be more opportunities for attacking roles.

The versatility of Solomon may land him opportunities in the attacking midfield, which will pit him against James Maddison and others.

Looking at his squad, Postecoglou seemingly has an interesting challenge ahead in the new season and he hopes that Solomon will push Son throughout.
