The Future of a Tottenham Player in Question due to High Valuation

Tottenham Hotspur’s Giovani Lo Celso is potentially heading for another loan spell this summer due to the high price tag set by his club.

An update on the pursuit of the Argentinian international was provided by ABC Sevilla, indicating Real Betis’s interest.

This summer, Ange Postecoglou has offered Giovani Lo Celso a chance to showcase his talents at Tottenham.

While his performance against West Ham generated praises earlier this week, it isn’t stopping several clubs showing interest in him ahead of the summer break.

Barcelona is among the clubs showing interest, yet he could remain in the Premier League if he were to join Aston Villa.

There is also the possibility of Lo Celso making a return to one of his previous clubs.

After leaving Paris Saint-Germain, Lo Celso spent a season with Real Betis in 2018 before moving to Tottenham.

The Spanish team are keen to have Lo Celso back and are open to taking him on loan from Tottenham.

Though they are interested in a permanent transfer, Tottenham’s high valuation could be a stumbling block.

Lo Celso’s Potential Loan Transfer From Tottenham

The article from ABC Sevilla speculates that Real Betis might hold off on their attempt to sign Lo Celso until the transfer window’s end.

Betis are open to any kind of deal- loan, permanent transfer or loan with a mandatory purchase clause.

Essentially, they are eager to reconnect with the 27-year-old footballer.

Yet, meeting Tottenham’s £27m price tag for the player currently poses a challenge for them.

Lo Celso could play a key role this season at Spurs, considering the tactical approach by Ange Postecoglou.

The Tottenham club acknowledges its oversized squad, especially in the absence of European football.

However, Tottenham would lean more towards the sale of Lo Celso rather than another loan for the current season.

His market value will inevitably shrink further if he spends another year on loan while running down his contract.

Real Betis will hope to use this to their advantage while discussing terms for the Argentinian’s return.
