Tottenham Hotspur seems to be showing more interest in Micky van de Ven than Edmond Tapsoba for this summer’s signings, eventhough there’s a possibility they may recruit both.
Spurs are currently prioritizing the acquisition of new centre-backs. They’re in urgent need of a better alternative to Eric Dier and Ben Davies. In this regard, Ange Postecoglou seems to be favouring two Bundesliga players.
Tottenham has been strongly associated with a potential deal for both Tapsoba and Van de Ven. The recent information in this regard has been provided by Paul Brown in GiveMeSport.

Tottenham Sports More Inclination towards Micky van de Ven over Edmond Tapsoba
Micky van de Ven and Edmond Tapsoba would both be beneficial additions to Tottenham’s lineup.
The Dutch player Van de Ven, just 22 years old, possesses impressive speed. Despite being a defender, he last season clocked a higher top speed than Real Madrid’s ace, Vinicius Jr, which is truly remarkable.
Tapsoba, too, is not slow-footed. At 24 years old, this ‘powerful’ player, as described by Bundesliga’s website, holds his own as an outstanding footballer. His experience surpasses that of Van de Ven.
Brown reports that Tottenham has already engaged with the Wolfsburg defender’s representatives. They have a higher probability of signing him over Tapsoba, but there’s a chance they could bring both to the club in the upcoming weeks.
Brown states, “Spurs appear to be more advanced in their dealings with Van de Ven. They’ve met his people. I understand his personal terms won’t be a challenge. It’s simply about reaching an agreement on the fee with his club.
“It seems more likely at this point that the deal with Van de Ven will be finalized than Tapsoba. But both players are on the Spurs’ priority list, and it seems that they might be looking to recruit two centre-backs this summer. So, they could potentially sign both.”

TBR Perspective:
Next season Tottenham will find itself out of any European competitions. Although unfortunate, this could be a hidden blessing, allowing them to play only one game per week most of the time.
This will afford Postecoglou ample time to incorporate his strategies, and if the Spurs manage their recruitment adeptly, they could become a formidable team to contend with next season.
Either Van de Ven or Tapsoba would prove to be valuable signings for Tottenham, but if they were to secure both, it would set them off to a strong start for the season.
However, our suspicion is that they will go for one or the other.
