26-Year-Old Premier League Star Who Once Criticized a Spurs Player Draws Interest from Tottenham

West Ham’s Europa Conference League final star Jarrod Bowen has caught the attention of Tottenham Hotspur, according to The Athletic. However, the report suggests that it is unlikely West Ham will sell the England international during this transfer window.

Although Tottenham fans may not be holding their breath for a deal involving Bowen, it would demonstrate the club’s ambition if they managed to persuade the forward to join them.

If Bowen were to become a target for Tottenham, a potential draw could be the opportunity to consistently play alongside Harry Kane.

However, this might depend on whether Kane remains at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium for the rest of his career.

Assuming Kane stays and Tottenham do pursue Bowen, the forward might be enticed by the prospect of playing with him, considering his past remarks about Kane’s abilities. In an interview last year, Bowen singled out Kane as the hardest working player during an England training camp.

“In terms of hardest trainer, Harry Kane. We did finishing yesterday, I wasn’t keeping up with him,” Bowen said, in a video posted on England’s YouTube channel. “I was like, ‘oh my god, this guy is a joke’. Right foot, left foot, header, shoulder. That is the level he sets for himself, he probably gets annoyed when he misses. Yesterday was just an eye-opener – this is the level. This is what the level needs to be.”

It would be a challenging feat for Tottenham to sign Bowen this summer or in the future. His decision will likely depend on more than just the chance to play with Kane. Nevertheless, Spurs’ interest should serve as a warning to West Ham. If they don’t build on their success in Prague, they risk losing their top players to other clubs.

If the upcoming season doesn’t pan out well for West Ham, Bowen may see a growing number of offers from their Premier League competitors.
