Following Van de Ven’s Completion, Tottenham Prepped for Second Medical Examination Today

Today, Tottenham Hotspur is projected to undertake a medical examination for Micky Van de Ven and Alejo Veliz, both defenders.

According to an Evening Standard report, the medical staff at Hotspur Way may have a busy day ahead.

Ange Postecoglou must be feeling pretty pleased considering how well the past 24 hours have gone.

His Tottenham team showed they still got it by defeating Shakhtar Donetsk without much difficulty in a friendly match yesterday.

Harry Kane truly shone during the match, scoring four goals as spectators in a near-full stadium cheered loudly, hoping to persuade him to stay.

He played a more forward role than usual, spending less time being a playmaker for Spurs.

James Maddison took full advantage of this, showing off his creative skills.

With two new signings on the horizon, Alejo Veliz and Micky Van de Ven are in line to have a medical at Tottenham.

The presence of the Dutch defender at yesterday’s stadium, given Spurs’ urgent need for defensive reinforcement, was a welcome sight.

Less information is available about Veliz, but there’s a chance he could have a more significant role this season than initially expected.

Tottenham’s Medical for Veliz Slated for Today

As suggested by the Evening Standard report, both players are on the verge of signing with the club.

Their medicals are scheduled for today, and if all goes well, they’ll be officially announced as new signings soon.

The cost for Alejo Veliz will be around £13m, a considerable sum for a teenager.

The Argentinian teenager, who has already played as a youth international, has scored 11 goals in 23 matches for Rosario Central this year.

Rosario’s faith in him indicates he is ready for action in the first team.

Currently, no loan arrangements are in place for Veliz this summer, despite Rosario’s desire for him to stay till the end of the season.

Given a clean bill of health, Veliz will soon officially become a Tottenham player.

If Harry Kane decides to leave, the young player would play backup to Richarlison for this season.

While it’s a big responsibility for the 19-year-old, the club seems confident that he is capable of stepping up.

Otherwise, they wouldn’t have planned to keep him in the club for the upcoming season.
