Barcelona aims to finalize a deal with Tottenham Hotspur valued at around £8.6 million for the transfer of Clement Lenglet this summer.
As reported by Sport, Tottenham has proposed a £4.3 million offer for the French player following his year-long loan.

Clement Lenglet’s future remains uncertain after spending the season in North London. Tottenham revealed his departure on their retained list, but the 28-year-old may still return.
Barcelona seek to reach agreement with Tottenham regarding Lenglet
According to Sport, Barcelona’s management suspects that Spurs announcing his departure is a tactic to reduce the cost of signing him permanently.

While Barca initially requested £12.9 million, Tottenham hopes to pay significantly less for the central defender.
Whether a compromise can be reached remains uncertain. However, Sport suggests that the Catalan club still hopes to agree upon an £8.6 million (€10 million) fee with Tottenham.
With Barcelona eager to sell Lenglet this summer, Tottenham might feel they have the upper hand. In addition, Manager Ange Postecoglou’s team likely has other potential targets in mind.
Even if they fail to secure Lenglet, Tottenham may remain patient and expect to be rewarded later in the transfer window.
Since all parties involved seem to want the transfer to happen and the difference in valuations is not substantial, an agreement may eventually be reached.
However, Tottenham could prioritize their top targets in this window while keeping Lenglet’s acquisition on hold.
