Tottenham Contemplates 24-Goal Striker as Possible Replacement Amid Harry Kane’s Potential Exit

Ben Jacobs has disclosed that Tottenham Hotspur may consider signing Jonathan David, a striker from Lille, if Harry Kane decides to leave the club this summer.

This sports writer shared a status update about Kane’s future on Twitter on a recent Sunday afternoon, amidst speculation about a possible interest from Bayern Munich.

Discussions about Kane’s future has been headline news in the early transfer window, with several clubs including Bayern, Real Madrid and Manchester United reportedly showing interest.

So far, only the Bundesliga champions have confirmed their interest in the England captain, with The Athletic revealing last week that they had tabled a £60 million bid.

Bayern’s initial offer does not meet Tottenham’s valuation. However, they are reportedly getting ready to make another offer for Kane.

Given the uncertain state of Kane’s future at Spurs, Jacobs has identified Jonathan David as a potential replacement for the forward.

Tottenham may consider David

Jacobs assured that Tottenham is fairly ‘steady’ about Kane’s future, despite the interest shown by Bayern.

Manager Ange Postecoglou is even planning for the next season assuming Kane remains with the club, but Bayern intends to compel him to force a move.

If Kane ends up departing from Spurs before the transfer window closes, David may be considered as a replacement.
