“Tottenham Edges Closer to £17m Signing of Star Forward”

There have been rumours recently linking Tottenham Hotspur to Randal Kolo Muani of Eintracht Frankfurt.

Rumours involving the French international and Spurs have been circulating since the World Cup in 2022.

In December, a report by Foot Mercato listed Tottenham and Liverpool as two English clubs showing interest in acquiring Muani.

The journalist Sacha Tavolieri recently suggested that Tottenham is considering Muani as a likely replacement for Harry Kane.

The German publication Bild has echoed this report, but unfortunately does not present a favorable development for the London club.

According to the report, Spurs appear ready to offer a maximum of €80million (approximately £69million) for Muani.

However, Frankfurt’s asking price seems to be €100million (roughly £86million), which Bild states is ‘too much’ for Tottenham.

Still, the London side could make this move happen if they meet Frankfurt’s set demands later in the transfer window.

Muani’s situation is complicated, Frankfurt’s sporting director, Markus Krosche, mentioned, as cited by Bild.

“There is always a point we reach, where we should decide if it’s worth it or not.

“However, there are offers that are simply too good to decline.”

Our Perspective

Tottenham seem to be in a bit of a predicament over the future of Kane.

Word is out that he doesn’t wish to sign another contract. With his current contract expiring next summer, Kane could quit without a transfer fee a year from now.

In spite of reported interest from Bayern Munich, Tottenham appears intent on keeping Kane on their home ground at all costs.

With such a dilemma on their hands, they need to prepare for life after Kane and look for alternatives.

Muani could well be the right choice for Spurs. He has shown glimpses of world-class quality and seems ripe for a big league move.

Goal.com recently praised his quickness and skill in tight areas. Besides, his exceptional performances often leave defenders chasing shadows, often contributing to the team’s goal tally.

Muani’s impressive record of assists highlights his selflessness in the attacking third of the field.

In Frankfurt’s previous term, Muani participated in a whopping 40 goal contributions, scoring 23 and assisting 17.

Muani’s playing style has drawn similarities to Thierry Henry, stirring up much interest among the Spurs fanbase.

However, Muani won’t come cheap, and Tottenham will have to dig deep if they are genuinely interested in the French striker.
