Tottenham Eyes £50m Premier League Star, Brennan Johnson, Possibly Offering Djed Spence or Bryan Gil in Trade

Tottenham maintains interest in Brennan Johnson from Nottingham Forest and could propose a trade deal involving a few of their own players.

In recent times, Johnson, a forward for Forest has piqued the interest of Spurs, with Forest holding firm against Brentford’s acquisition attempts.

Speculation suggests that a bid nearing £50m may prompt conversation with Forest.

As reported by The Telegraph, to sway Forest to negotiation, Tottenham could propose a trade deal involving several players, incrementally building up to the targeted £50m.

Djed Spence, who is familiar to Forest fans, is the top name among the potential trade offers. Having hit his stride at the Reds, Spence might be welcomed back at the City Ground if he were to part ways with Tottenham.

Bryan Gil and Joe Rodon are additional players that Spurs might include in the trade offer for Johnson. Both players are currently on the transfer list and up for grabs.

Tottenham’s Push for Postecoglou

The recent 5-1 friendly win has offered Tottenham fans a taste of the potential transformation under new management. Spurs management now needs to back him up even more.

While Brennan Johnson’s acquisition is not intended as a substitute for Harry Kane, it should be noted that Johnson is a distinctly different player who is not on par with Kane.

Nonetheless, Johnson’s swift and straightforward playing style would dovetail with Postecoglou’s approach and the concept of trading Spurs players for him seems feasible.

Given the situation with Djed Spence, there’s a possibility a trade could be finalized.
