Everton’s Attention to ‘Exceptional’ £25m Tottenham Player Noted, But Potential Move Seems Improbable

Prior to his injury, Ryan Sessegnon of Tottenham Hotspur was on Everton’s radar, an injury which will keep him sidelined for the beginning of the season.

As per a report published by the Evening Standard, the defensive player on the left is expected to stay with Spurs until the January transfer period.

Ryan Sessegnon’s time at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium has been plagued with hard luck. His £25 million transition from Fulham sparked a lot of enthusiasm.

Regrettably, he has only been able to display his true skills sparingly due to persistent injuries. The injuries have played a significant role in his obstacles.

Unfortunately, Sessegnon had to undergo a hamstring surgery. As a consequence, he will not be able to partake in the beginning of the season, and is not anticipated to return before the transfer deadline.

This will, undoubtedly, be a letdown for many Premier League teams, inclusive of Everton. The Evening Standard mentioned that Everton was among the clubs keeping an eye on Sessegnon.

The reported information implied that Sessegnon was eager to have a new beginning this summer. However, it was uncertain whether Ange Postecoglou had thoughts of making him available.

Sessegnon would have been a superb addition to Sean Dyche’s lineup. Everton could have utilized additional strength on the left wing. And the Spurs player can play multiple roles like left-back, back wing or winger.

Naturally, anyone signing him would take on certain risks due to his injury record. Even a temporary transfer could be seen as risky, as Everton can only take in two Premier League players on loan.

But, if all goes well for Sessegnon, he has the talent to become a ‘rare’ player. However, a move during this transfer period seems highly unlikely
