Pochettino Eyes £40m Tottenham Prospect: David Ornstein Indicates Potential Exit

“Pochettino indicated that Gallagher is part of his strategy, and I’ve heard that he admires the player. He has an Argentinian style in his defensive pressing as an all-action midfielder. Chelsea may consider selling him if a suitable offer comes along. Despite his active presence in preseason, players have their price, so his departure wouldn’t be entirely unexpected. On the other hand, it’s not entirely impossible that he remains,” said Ornstein.

Better Keep Him

With Ornstein’s input, a serious probability of Gallagher leaving Chelsea this summer arises. However, it might be more beneficial for the Blues to retain him.

Examining Chelsea’s current squad, it’s clear they lack midfield selection.

Their jersey options for seniors right now mainly include Enzo Fernandez and Gallagher. While investing trust in young players seems optimistic, it also poses a risk.
