Tottenham Potentially Going to Utilize a 26-Year-Old Striker if Harry Kane Leaves in the Summer

Should Harry Kane depart this summer, Tottenham Hotspur is eyeing Richarlison for their central striker role in the upcoming season.

The Times reported that Harry Kane is not expected to re-sign with Tottenham.

The current contract of the 29-year-old Kane will end after a year at Spurs.

Bayern Munich demonstrates a high interest in signing the England captain, but Daniel Levy has been disinterested in their approaches so far.

The future of Kane has been a focal point of Ange Postecoglou’s press meetings recently.

Harry Kane is the team’s top player, and his decision to stay or leave will significantly impact Tottenham’s performance in the next season.

Intensive planning is underway to prepare for Kane’s possible departure this summer.

If Kane leaves, Richarlison is anticipated to take on the main striker role at Tottenham in the following season.

Despite his £60m transfer from Everton, the 26-year-old didn’t spark attention with his performance in the previous season.

A more stable position in the squad may permit him to return to his top form.

However, it’s clear he can’t fully replicate Kane’s wide-ranging skills on the field.

Richarlison might take over from Kane should he exit Tottenham

The Times has predicted that Kane might reject a contract renewal from Spurs to join Bayern Munich instead.

In such a scenario, Richarlison would be entrusted with the challenging task of filling the shoes left by the team’s all-time highest goal scorer.

The role of replacing Kane would be overwhelming for any player as his performance is nearly impossible to match.

Kane has been a top-notch player, serving not only as the main scorer but also as a creative force in Tottenham for many years.

Richarlison has proved his potent goal-scoring abilities during the World Cup with Brazil last year.

Regardless, Richarlison lacks the ability to act as a playmaker by moving deep into the field.

The addition of James Maddison to the squad should disperse pressure on either Kane or Richarlison when they play as the main striker for Tottenham.

However, dealing with the disappointment of losing a player of Kane’s stature won’t be an easy task for Tottenham.

A confirmed departure in the summer, or after 12 months is bound to be a big blow for the team to cope with.
